Like I said, I have not done anything much here but play with the kids! Look what I got – such a weird combo but hey, talk about GIRL POWER – here you will see Piglet toppling over Flash in a wrestling match!

Merry Xmas

Most of the folks who didn’t know that I was skipping town this Christmas were surprised to find out I was miles and miles away from the parties and drunken sessions. Sorry for missing out on all the fun, I hope you all had a blast! Thanks for the invites… really felt bad I couldn’t make it but I do hope you all had a good time.

So far, my vacation has been going really well. The last two weeks prior to my flight back here was packed with last minute work errands plus the fact that I got sick. My vacation officially started on the 22nd. Ever since I arrived here, I had been busy playing with the kids and making up for the sleep I had fallen short of over the pre-xmas rush.

We drove all the way to Iligan on the day before xmas and stayed there until the 26th. I drove the pickup and my brother took the car (daya, he knew it was faster!!!). But it was manageable. I beat the 1.5 hr margin so it wasn’t so bad. I just felt sleepy coz it was too slow!hahaha! I was sooo tired when we got there but lunch was a relief. I ate all the food I missed – including the lechon!

Traffic.  Talk about traffic, traffic in binondo and divisoria is a whoooole lot better than the traffic I experienced when I offered to drive the girls around the city. People were panic-buying and the jeepneys and cars were moving too close to each other… I’d bet the distance between the car and the jeep i was tailing was like less than a quarter of a foot. but I’m glad I didn’t bump into anyone…or anything for that matter.

We didn’t get to go around the usual swimming places on xmas day because everyone was sooo wasted after downing 2 bottles of tequila after noche buena. the oldies decided to just stay home and chill – the boys played pusoy while the girls made the usual “catching up chat” and of course, the younger generation (that includes me!) went out for a drive around the city – this time with the driver!!! :-) (good thing I didn’t have to drive!)

Night time was, as usual, drinking and videoke time. :-) took out the magic sing and sang to our heart’s content! The next day, it was bye bye time for us… I took the lead in the convoy and managed to get to cdo by lunch time. :-)

On the 27th, I spent the whole morning sleeping ( i was tired from driving). In the afternoon, I went to meet up with old friends in limketkai…and (don’t laugh just yet!) I got lost on my way to the mall! hahaha! talk about driving and not reading the signs, I almost got caught! LOL… Good thing ate mines decided to just use her car going to SM… so we passed by the house and I left the car home. Otherwise, I would have been lost haha! Not that I don’t know the streets anymore, but with all the traffic rerouting and new “one way streets” I have no clue where to pass!

Today, I finally spent the last batch of shopping for the kids. I haven’t bought them any presents because I’ve been tooo damn busy before I flew in. Luckily there’s TOY KINGDOM here… Kids are really KIDS. They love toys and they always expect xmas presents… so when they found out I didn’t get the chance to buy them any, they were quite disappointed. I made up for it today by going shopping. Hopefully, they’ll like the presents they will be opening come new year’s eve. :-)

You don’t keep garbage in your house, do you?

This was Borj’s last message to me in YM this afternoon… and it hit me real hard.

Today, we had one of the shortest, but perhaps one of the most sincere conversation I ever had with anyone in my whole life. Yes today, he made me cry (yes kuya, you did). Not because he told me about his struggles, about how life taught him a lesson… but because he taught me to be unselfish. He taught me to grow up. He taught me that life is too short to hold on to grudges or anything of that sort.

I know, the first cut is always the hardest and deepest. Not easy but I will try to be much much nicer to people… even those who have hurt me one way or the other :-)

Happy Christmas everyone!

Are my eyes deceiving me?

I was oggling at the not-so-recently announced Fuji S5 Pro in dpreview.com when I noticed, it’s only 6MegaPixels. Is this for real? For a body that boasts of a D200 back with Fuji CCD, I cannot comprehend why it is only 6MP. Is this for real or is this just a figment of my imagination.

Me want the S5 Pro so bad. Be nice. Get me one :-)

Coldhearted

I used to believe that there is always something in exchange for happiness or for sadness. Somehow when you experience that certain emotion, chances are, something’s bound to happen that will give you the total opposite of what you just experienced. I tried to move away from this line of thinking a long time back but suddenly, a recent turn of events, led me into thinking I was right all along. I don’t have any explanation as to why these things happen, but I do know for a fact that in life, we have to maintain a balance of all things, be it good or bad.

Sometimes, I ask myself, why can’t I just be happy for happiness sake?!? I am pretty contented with where I am now, the stuff that I’ve been doing and everything else, but heck, I do have those teeny weeny bits of fun-killers prowling around me. I gotta put up with them but darn it, why can’t they just go away spoil their own fun and not mine?!? Oh and yes I remember now, there are people who just absolutely hate it when they see you happy. Aaahh such party poopers, but you gotta believe me when I say there’s plenty out there… but really, I could care less…

oh well. such is life. you can never please everybody. and when you don’t say anything, they go behind your back, stab you 10,000x til you bleed. sorry i don’t so just quit it and eat your heart out! i’m too coldhearted for you.

PiPho Xmas Party – The Aftermath

I caught some kind of virus and was practically down for 3 straight days starting Wednesday night. I woke up late saturday morning and still felt a little bit woozy, but I knew I just had to go… so I dragged my crazy self under the shower to freshen up and get ready. I still felt cold, but hey, the pipho xmas event happens only once a year so I better drag my lazy ass out of bed and go to the party.

I didn’t bring my camera with me… so here are some photos from regie and ken go and everyone else who took photos that night (pahiram ha!)

Pipho’s XMAS Parteeeeh

It’s Pipho’s Xmas Party today. Let’s see what’s in store for everyone.

Free photography lessons. Free artworks. Free studio use. Caps. Keychains. Giveaways. Magazines. Printers. Oh did I hear someone say Printer??? :-) *wink*

Darn, I still feel like crap. My nose is stuffed too. I better hie off to bed again so I’ll be in tip top shape for tonight. See you there guys!!!

Flu flu go away

I feel like crap. I hate the feeling. It’s like it’s too cold outside even though the sun is beaming it’s rays towards me. Weird. I can get skin cancer for UV and I still felt cold outside. Inside, I feel like my temperature could roast a pig. Literally. My fever’s been hitting the 39-40 scale. I hate the feeling of being sick, having to stay in bed… and most of all – I hate it when everything I put in my mouth tastes like shit.

Sorry. I just love food and I hate it when my food doesn’t taste quite like it. Ang sarap pa naman ng quarter pounder! damn!

Anyway, I better get back to bed and sleep this fever away. I hope when I do wake up, I’m back to normal programming again!

Shooting on a Stormy Day

I got a message on my YM. Again. Someone’s itching to shoot. I had an AVP to finish. And a weather that’s kinda if-fy. But when you feel the itch, you just gotta satisfy it. So I called up my model friends. Luckily, two of them were available.

PARC drove up to eastwood to pick them up. And I went to Harbor to meet Renzo. Then met up at the venue – somewhere south of the metro. On a stormy day. Last Friday. Here’s a preview…
